First Durba/Brass inlay problem

Thanks for the comments guys. The brass inlay certainly doesn't matter to the function of the blade itself, but it is pretty:D . My inlayed Khuks are the ones I show off to my custom knife collecting friends as examples of HI craftsmanship, and that's why it's important for me to keep them perfect.

I have one or two that a section of the brass inlay is missing from. Never stopped and gave it enough thought for it to become a problem.
 
As Pat said, it doesn't affect the function of the blade in any way but it does affect the overall appearance. The inlay should stay put.
 
Good point, Uncle.

I missed the spot in Pat's post where he mentioned that those are the ones he uses to show off HI's workmanship and so they should be held to a higher standard.

Sorry if my post came across as critical, Pat. Wasn't meant to be, but I can see where it might have seemed so.

Uncle, Is the Magic Hammer the Kamis's use for the inlay the same Magic Hammer that they use to make the Magic Black Khukuri?
 
Too bad they can't send over a magic shovel for mucking out the Cantina floor when it starts getting deep.;) :D
 
No offense taken Blues:) I know you are one of the regular good guys here so you would have to really go out of your way to offend me.
That's the problem with so many of the gun forums, and the reason I pretty much only post to this forum. Everybody on the other forums seems to have a chip on their shoulder and be overly sensitive to offhand comments. Seems like a lot of people on the net would rather have mean, childish spats over nothing than enjoy comaraderie and share knowledge:( . Sure glad I made it to the Cantina, even when it gets deep enough to need a magic shovel and Hercules:D
