I'm closing the contest on Sept 7 good luck folks!

Hi guys! This will be my first GA.:D
I'm giving away a Pocket worn Harvest Orange Case Peanut.

I just started my new job and I told myself that when I get a new job I will do a GA.
It is a part-time job and not a full-time but it's in the field that I want so hopefully there will be a opening for FT soon.

Now for the give away.
I contemplated on only for those that frequent the Traditional but I want non-traditional guys to have a chance at using a traditional so it is open to everyone.

BUT

1) if you are not a "frequent flyer" to the subforum I would like for you to write what interests you in traditionals. That's it. (Max post 1)
2) if you are a regular a simple I'm in would do.;) (Max post 2)

ETA: Ok guys I'm modifying a bit. If you're a regular you can post twice. If you're not only once.
I'll pick via random.org

Hope that's simple enough.

I did that because I want to give back to the great subforum community and all the great members who contribute to it but wanted to give a chance to those that haven't been given a chance to traditionals.

Sorry no pics. It's a big hassle for me to get pics and post. I know it's not a big deal for some but...
I can tell you that the F&F is pretty good.
The only thing is the grind is a bit rough. I thought about fixing it up but I'll leave that for the winners since there are preferences.
Also the shield catches a hair when you rub your finger over it but not very noticeable.
Otherwise it's very good. I really was tempted to keep it since it felt so nice in hand LOL :D

I'll keep this running for 2 weeks maybe. I'll give a heads up before I close it.

Thanks!!

Somebody has to start, so I will. The great thing about almost anything traditional is that they are always around even if lurking behind the new stuff of the day. I like some of the tactical stuff and have some, but I always reach for what I'm accustomed to and the traditional knife is just useful in so many ways and fits in so many places. I have my Endura 4 in my back pocket but my right front pocket, "riding shotgun" is my traditional of the day whatever it may be. BTW, I'm in

I'm going to jump in here and put my name in the hat. I love that pocket worn harvest bone. And it's a peanut to boot! Sweet!

KG thanks for the chance. I have been meaning to try a legendary 'nut but have not got around to it. Congrats on the new job. Hope that FT position opens up for ya

Thanks again
Jeff

I've been wanting to get a peanut but still haven't pulled the trigger. I'm intrigued by all the stories on here about the peanut.

I haven't been around in a while, so I'll tell ya what the draw is.

For me, it has to be the story. Each knife has a story/stories attached to it. The way it cut something when nothing else was available. How it saved a life here or there or even just cored an apple for lunchtime. While they are rarely made out of high performance space age materials, they just work. and will come back day in and day out for the rest of one's life....and then some.

Thanks for the GA

I'm in, I love Peanuts! I don't have a pocket worn one yet(!)

Thank you for the opportunity!

I'm not quieted a regular yet, although I do LOVE traditionals. I like traditionalist so much because it makes me feel like I'm someone in the 1940's who used to carry the same knife I am carrying now. I like traditionalist because they are completely different than modern times folding knives.

I'm in.

I like traditionals because they are timeless, elegant and work well.

Sounds great, count me in. Thanks for generosity and the opportunity to win this little beauty!

never had a peanut.
not sure if i would like them or not

but gotta admit i AM curious with all the love they get around these parts
so why not, i'll give it a shot :p

Thanks for the chance.

Might take the place of my GEC 25 in the coin pocket.

I'd like an entry thank you. I post here every once and a while, but to be concise i like traditionals because they just plain work in a beautiful and elegant way, and people think your classy if you carry one.
