First grinder and equipment set up

Let me say, If You have a 30 knife order. Buy 30 ready made blanks and Para-cord wrap the handles and your done. If your not even sure about the glue(adhesives) used, your a long way from a presentable knife. I've been making knives from raw steel for 2 years and only have 2 that I would not be embarrassed to say I made, and 1 was just dumb luck it turned out OK. Your going to curse, bleed, and be confused the first month just trying to "dial-in" your equipment. The next two months, you will be trying to figure out how everyone makes nice shiny knives and yours look like, well,, *&%$. If you go at it hoping to make money, you'll fail, if you go at it for fun first, you might make it. Knifemaking is an art and takes skill, some people have it and some don't.

of course, i run into more fakes everyday. All good i know how to deal with them and its good for everyone to question them. In fact thank you. Fuck stolen valor fuckheads. I appreciate your input and I look forward to producing some great blades.

thank you for your extensive knowledge and understanding. I understand it is an art and a skill. I have fast learning curve and very much enjoy the process and art. I am ok with obstacles and barriers, makes for a higher understanding when the end result is reached.

I am not doing to make money bud. I made knives with my father and brothers and joined the military for the past 12 years. Always wanting to get back into at a more professional level and with better equipment. I figured equipment has changed and wanted to see opinions, discouragement will not detour me, or I wouldn't have been very good at my last career.

I know Strider and he is well known for is knives due to originally getting some contracts and have SF and SEALs use his stuff. good blades but there is so much great stuff out there now his name is a bit passed as well as he doesn't have those military contacts with SF that he use to.
Trust me I understand all the BS that people pull.
Maybe this forum is not a good place to start, haha
