Congrats Patrick! It's a beaut!!!From one divorced dad (now happily remarried to the right woman!) to another who went thru my share of hard times with it... enjoy!
BTW... LOVE the gray! Saaweeeet!!!!!!!!!! (Rubi's adivce is spot on BTW... enjoy this one for all it's worth!)
Thanks bro. Means a lot! Accepted your request on USN. Let's keep eachother updated on this Hinderer thing.![]()
I'm good! No one prepared me for love at first sight guys. The hype, truth is real. Like Rubi told me. Enjoy this "one." Not the next. It will take away from this, my first one. Can you blame me? I have to have a 3.5" slicer as well. Them I'm done for awhile. promise! A single dad has limits. Best of both worlds. Maybe a Splice or Splicer grind? Ha
Really. I never new how smooth theses were. A spongy smooth opening and closing. As if stirring pudding Rick! Getting used to the break in and detent. (Somewhat weaker than I'm used to?) I know you have to preload some XM's. Push up and in. Like a button.
Lastly, I added Nano Oil. I heard teflon reacts well. Guys!!!!! and lady(lone) Get some Nano Oil!!! It went from spongy smooth to creamy buttery smooth. Like glass! Ive had CRK and Strider. Still love them. When broken in. Amazing as well. This to me takes the cake. You get it though. Should have warned me. Now I'm addicted. Hinderer on my mind. All day!![]()
Thanks again Rob, Rick and Rubi. I'm a lifer. Makes having served. Along with my job that much more special. Hinderer and heart on my sleeve. My son always the main focus. Some single dads, in divorce have had bad fortune. I've lost a lot Rob. Things taken away. Bankruptcy. Others. Not my self respect or dignity.
Almost lost my mom during Christmas. She is having an important surgery end of April. Lone understands. For me, getting this chance isn't all about material or money. I've worked hard to get to this point. This defines "pride of ownership" From where I was. To where I am. To where I'm going. Never thought I'd be at this point. Or great place. It started with a $50 Ripple. So yeah. It's nice to have some good fortune my way. Yet I am humble. Pay it forward. I take care of the sick and dying. So yeah, I would easily give this up to help another less fortunate. Thank you all. With admiration and respect, Rick Hinderer Knives. I'm Patrick. I'll leave you with the best way to show my person.

What its all about.
That's a great pic of you and your little boy, it really speaks. A lucky boy to have so caring a dad.
Yes, I do understand. Like so many here, we both made the choice to serve, and take the risks that come. For me, an injury that I'll feel the effects of for the rest of my life. For others...... worse. For everyone, something. Having the chance to buy one meant something to me, too.
Keep being who you are, and keep us posted on how your Mom is doing. I'll be sending up smoke and prayers for her.
