A question: are the fire bricks that you used soft fire bricks (specifically designed for kilns and forges) or hard fire bricks (used for fireplaces, brick ovens, etc)?
Yes sir. That forge is indoors... but I am about 0,5 from the door at street level. It is more like a garaje than anything else (4 story building). I usually open the whole door but this time I just opened the top windows, the small door and some other vents. So far I haven't had any issues with the smoke but I have to fire it up at night because I don't want any of my neigbours to get mad at me. Next time I will just drag the metal table to the curb and fire it up right there.
That is very helpful, Mikel. Thanks for sharing!

I think they are hard fire bricks. Where I bought them they told me that they were used for fireplaces and stuff like that. With charcoal they work just fine but the one and only time I have fired it up with mineral coal... I managed to melt a bit of some of them... Well, to be fair I should say that while trying to heat them to red hot... I also managed to melt a chunk of one of the blades. Damn!
