First Knife of 2004.

Wow Bill, what a way to start my day! I have to ask though, did you etch the guard and pommel in place, and if so - How???

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work, it's truly inspiring.

Dave

Great knife, Bill!! I like the design of the blade and the blending of the handle shape.
Is the inlay on the handle twisted wire or is that really all those pins?
Lynn

Great knife, Bill! I love the buttcap and guard how they compliment each other in angle and style. Very nice!

Dave, yes. I etched the blade and guard at once and then the pommel.
Just put fingernail polish on the handle so the acid can't get to the material and etch like you would any blade.

Lynn, its lots of pins.

Thanks everyone,

Bill

Bill, I thought the pictures were good, much better than mine. Got to remember your a bladesmith, not a pro photographer.

Ray thanks for the comment on the pictures. You know as well as me that your pictures sell knives, I just wish I could actually get a picture to show how nice the knives truly are. Its the pits to put 40+ hrs. in making the steel, hardware and knife just to not get a benefical picture. And as far as not being a photographer, I throught all knifemakers were, book keepers, janitors, photographers and the knifemaking was the fun part. :D

Thanks,

Bill
