First Knife You Ever Got?

When I entered active duty in the Air Force as a 2nd Lt, I bought a small SAK, can't remember the name, at the BX. Still have it, take it out now and then. I once asked, totally absent of seriousness, if it was OK for a US Air Force officer to carry a knife made for the Swiss Army.

I got my first one when I was six or seven, I can not remember. It was a camillus cub scout pocket knife with blue handles, a safety blade, and locking bottle cap opener and awl. It now resides in a case alongside my Eagle medal and other memorabilia.

my first was when i was young and at a yard sale. they were selling Frost Cutlery and Spyderco knives. Of course me, being like a third grader or something, chose the p.o.s Frost cutlery over the spyderco and kick myself whenever i think about it. The person selling the knives collected them wholesale and had a ton of them not opened or used. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Some kind of little POS Sheffield style bowie/hunter that I got out of a vending machine at a truck stop in Virginia, I think.

I still have mine, it's an old Boker slipjoint, made in the USA. Wooden scales, blade has a nice patina on it. Not sure what the model is, but it has a special place in my heart.

I was about 8 when I got my first knife. I still have it, bought it at I think a hardware store, with my Dad.

Buck 110, 1986. Still have it (minus about 1/8" off the tip) along with various scars it gave me.

My first knife was an ESEE 5. I bought it for backpacking, than quickly realized that it was much too heavy for that. I still have it.

Nice first knife DAFT!

My first was a spyderco tenacious my little brother bought me last Christmas.

Been an addict ever since!

First knife was a Vic SAK... Spartan model, based on what I remember of the tools on it. Got it in middle school. Between Scouts and watching MacGyver save the world every week using only chewing gum, baling wire, and his trusty Swiss Army Knife, I thought they were the most fascinating pocket tools. That particular one has long since been lost. :(

I had a Wenger multi-tool, and older one too probably from the 70s-80s and my dad gave it to me. Wasn't that into knives then.

I was 4 or 5 years old it was about 1957. My mother bought me a fixed blade at Sears & Roebuck, I think it cost about a dollar and nine cents. I wore it all the time while playing.... my younger brother got one too. We never cut ourselves or had a problem .... besides my friends grand mother who lived next door and about had a coronary when she saw us wearing them. :)
It was a different time then........ and yes, I still have it. ;)

SOG Mini Vulcan. Cool little knife, loved it! Then I had to get rid of it on a trip to Hawaii! >.< I replaced with kershaw blur, which I'm diggin, but I dont know if I would use it in a tactical/defensive situation (the liner lock is a tad thin), and I prefer a polished blade, but I still like my blur! :3

My first knife was one of those Boy Scout SAK's (one with the spoon and fork, etc.)
No idea who made it. My Dad got it for me when I joined. (40+ years ago)
I thought it was the coolest thing - must have opened and closed it a 1000 times (LOL)
Wish I still had it.

My first was a cheap lockback, probably Pakistani. I lost it somewhere along the way.

My first decent knife is a Wenger SAK my parents bought me for my birthday back when MacGyver was in it's second season or so. I still have that one, and it still works very well :D

My first knife was an Imperial Barlow that I bought in an old hardware store.
