First Knife You Ever owned?

I got a dull Imperial fisherman knife with yellow celluloid scales. I thought it was so cool because the blade was so long. I was in 4th grade, and I was slicing some cardboard (pulling towards me of course:rolleyes:) and stuck the point of that about 1/2 inch into my left forearm:eek:. I almost fainted and could not go to my parents, because err.... :oI did not have permission yet to own this knife I acquired from a neighbor kid. I slowly gained my composure, pulled the knife out of my arm, cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide (my arm not the knife:D), and bandaged up my wound. Told my mom the cat scratched me, and put my knife away hidden until my wound healed to ask if I could have the knife. I recall having the knife for another few years before I lost it, so I must have gotten permission. I am 43 now, and I still have that crescent moon scar in my left forearm.....Thanks for letting me share....

CJ65 as in born in 65
reminds me of my first zippo. but my parents still dont know about that one

Well, I believe when I was 7 my dad gave me a Buck 110. I had a knife before that, but I really can't remember. The Buck 110 is the first knife I can really remember though.

mine was a well used Boker congress from my grandfather--got this knife when i was 10--had it many years--i am 57 now:D

Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, don't exactly remember which version, but probably the Explorer.

my first knife was a Busse Battle Mistress it was on 1946 when i had 56 years old :D

seriously it was a little lockback with a 2 inches blade with wood scale and brass frame.

Mine was a SOG trident when I was 14. Traded a magazine for a SVI Infinity pistol replica back when I was still interested in airsoft.

was a camillus 26 hunter that was my grandads. Even had a custom sheath with it:thumbup: hard to believe that it was almost 24 years ago, and in a few it will be passed to my son, he'll get it when he turns 14, same age i was when i got it!
still have the camillus though, its got a special place in my collection

My first knife was a knock off something my grampaw gave me. My first real knife was a Wenger SAK that my sister found under a bunk bed at church camp, and she brought it home for me. It's a unique Wenger. It has a large blade, small blade, can opener, bottle opener, leather punch, and on the handle it has a cut out of a musket of some kind.

My Mother gave me a no-name 1" folder when I was 6. I asked my Father for a larger knife but he didn't want me to hurt myself so he whittled me a wooden one that I played with for awhile. Then, when I was 8 my Mother found an auto on the quiet residential street we lived on and gave it to me. She didn't know it was a switchblade and neither of us could get it open (it was a funky style of leverlock) until my teenage sister got home from school and opened it without a hitch! When my Mother saw it open like that she grabbed it off me and hid it. I begged her for days afterwards until she finally relented with a promise from me that it would never leave the house. Kept my promise for 4 years and ended up trading it to a friend who promptly broke the spring in it. I still regret trading it to this day. That was 37 years ago and it was a different world then!

Easy. Camillus BSA 4-blade. It's been dinged and beaten and I've reground the awl twice to clean up dings, but it's still snappy and clean. :)

It's also one of the few knives to break one of BRL's rules- it has stainless blades with carbon springs, something that's pretty rare.

An old no-name (at least, i don't remember the name) stockman. It was a great knife for me at age 10 until age 21.

1st would be a nailclipper with a little POS knife on it... I was probably 4-5, so I don;t remember anything except whittling on saplings... More vivid memories would be varoius SAKs... The BIG one would be a Leatherman I scrimped and saved for in 7th grade... That was 18 years ago, and I still somehow have it! It's still a go-to tool when traveling.

My first knife was a German swiss army type, like a Spartan, but with no small blade. White handle. Must have got it around 1970.
The knife is long gone, but I got a small scar on my left thumb as a reminder of it:D
