First Look! Kershaw Dimension!

I just personally felt a "first look" thread should be entitled to Kershaw staff to address and not us lay people. Its a matter of prestige. This is their baby and they deserve to post it. You don't work for Kershaw do you?

Besides Blade HQ already have videos posted on all new Kershaw/ZT knives at Shot.

Being that someone very high up at kai asked us personally to handle these over here, I am going to have to disagree with you on that. I respect your opinion though, and will agree that bladehq did a good job of getting up vids of the new pieces.

I like the stonewash on that one, nice bright scratches rather than the more dull of like the 560/561. Scratches blend in with this type better.

I agree with you on that. I love the look of this more aggressive stonewash.

In that case I stand corrected, I was just curious about how the unveiling of the models was dealt with is all.

Here's something I hadn't seen mentioned. It is an assisted opening SpeedSafe knife that uses standoffs instead of a backspacer. I'm wondering how this is done & what would it take to do this on other SpeedSafe models?

Great looking new knife from Kershaw. Nothing at all wrong with 8Cr or it's country of origin... I've got plenty of Kershaw knives, and every last one is a lot of knife for the money, better even than many more expensive ones made right here.

Couldn't care less about the wording on the side, either; if it's in your hand or your pocket, who's ever going to see that? I guess it could be problematic if you only intend to use it for display or photographs.

The Blur uses standoffs and is assisted. If that is what you're asking?

As does the Cryo.

Yep, I believe there is no relationship between assisted/non-assisted and backspacers/stand-offs, although I may be wrong.

Also, would anyone else like to see the Dimension with texturing/milling on both sides of the handle?
