I'll probably pick this up. Blade shape looks great and KVT should make it fun to play with.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

One of my favorite knives at any price point that I purchased in the past 1.5 years is the Diskin Hunter. This includes knives that I own that I paid 10X more for. I love the tradition blade, handle ergonomics, simplicity in design, and US made. All for $45. The above designs do not appeal to my taste, but to each there own. If they send manufacture if the Diskin line overseas, I will not be a buyer at any price point.
I think Kershaw made a really wise choice putting KVT on a lot of the budget blades.
I was really in love for the design of the Diskin Hunter, but the final product was very different from the prototype.
All what made it special was thrown away

If I read it right it's a framelock, so the K-Texture handle overlays move along with the lockbar?
So if the scale would touch the bolster it would be a liner-lock

I like Diskin designs and look forward to this knife despite the stupid jimping on the handle.
In that regard I would prefer the previous version (that never was produced)
VERY positive is that it isn't assisted, that way knifenuts in Europe could finally buy a kershaw.

Yep. That was the one I was alluding to, the one that never saw production. It was Kershaw's supposed version of Diskin's "Coronado".
I really wish I could see a review of this one and see how it handles.
Anybody who's got this knife, don't be afraid for "show and tell"![]()
