Try a Spyderco. I'm an old guy, and I just never liked Spydercos because they didn't look like the knives I'd been using for years. Then, one day at work a friend handed me his Spyderco to cut something before I could get my stockman out of my pocket.

I now have a PM2, Manix2, and Native5. (Being USA made may have helped the decision process.) The PM2 is one of Spyderco's most popular & just a great all-around knife. The Manix2 is alittle more of a handful & makes a really good work knife. My Native5 is a lightweight & the 3" blade will handle any cutting chore you throw at it. The FRN handle's light, but it's some really tough stuff. It gets carried alot. All have blades made for cutting & good handle ergonomics. They just plain work.
Great suggestions. I imagine I'll end up with at least two or three. Thanks!

LOL....You are responding to an AI Chatbot. Google ChatGPT. Much of that post is probably put together from manufacturer advertising copy and online user reviews......
Sure sounds like! Maybe I'll delete my response. What are they doing here?
I love Big Brother.

Man I've gotta get back into the groove of forum posting... I thought there was only the first page when I posted. What all have you found you like so far?

Well, I posted the Kershaw Launch 8 on page 4 (post #70), which I just got on Friday. I love that one. Plan to get a Kershaw Leek soon. Then saving up for a Spyderco, either Military, Paramilitary, or Manix. I like some of the Cold Steel offerings, particularly the tanto blades. Several have recommended the Griptilian and Ontario RAT. Lots of options.

Very nice. I never personally cared for the look of the military, so I don't have any experience with them. The Para military I do like, as well as the manix. I prefer the Para to manix, but that's more of personal preference. Thumb holes aren't my cup of tea compared to others, but, they're good knives.

Something I will say with the griptilian vs the mini griptilian, the full size doesn't feel as solid. It is, but due to the liner designs, the full size griptilian's weight is more biased towards the blade end, where as there's a higher percentage of liner under the scales of the mini grip. That is if it's still made the same way as my old stuff. That very well may have changed, because until I just started looking again, I never thought I would see no option for 154cm in the griptilian, with the base steel now being s30v. That's more of a word of caution if you were going to order and not buy in person.

I don't have any experience with the Ontario rat.

I don't see how they get in. When I reset my password the other day to start posting again, just that made me want to bash my head into the wall. I spent 5 minutes clicking on pictures of bicycles and buses and things. I figured 1 or 2 images and I would be done... I was wrong.

Probably a user ID set up by a human so the AI can post posing as a real person......although at the time of this posting there are 48 pages of bots alone on the current visitor list......
