First pistol?

Or just learn to use a pistol correctly--again, we come back to instruction. A friend of mine will kick my ass every time if we're shooting Glocks, especially for speed, though give me a Browning HP or Sig and it's a different story. Point being, though, we're both proficient with damn near anything. Trigger control, muscle memory, breathing and sight picture don't change in principle. That comes from repitition and lots of money spent on ammo, and it may be that you decide you're not that interested. Getting a gun that's a perfect fit for you, though, will make shooting more enjoyable and practice more likely.

Yes, I'm hammering fit and feel--that's because they're more important than anything else by a wide margin.
