Shirley, please allow an old retarded Marine to welcome you to the Cantina. I hope you enjoy this forum as much as the rest of us do. Some of us I don't think even bother about other forums. I lurked around a couple of them and didn't particularly care for some of what I heard. We get a little wild around here sometimes too but, we usually manage to get things cooled down and we all remain friends.

I don't know of any other girls on the forum so stick around. Maybe you can shed a different light on some of the confabs that get going here.

Son & I went through safety posts while awaiting shipment.
Anyone with any other safety tips will be well received.
I like our body parts right where they are- preferably attached.
We live 22 miles from hospital, do fair amt of bushwork/wilderness survival which means have to get back in,in order to get the 22 mile ride. So blade(any) safety is a big deal here.

In all the time Ive been here, both lurking, and then as a poster, Ive never noticed any other wimmin posters. I always figured there was something abount bent knives that women didnt like, or maybe Mr. Clifton was scaring them all off.:p But Shirley here proves that it aint the knives, so I figure...:eek: :rolleyes: ;)

Alternatively you might try to find out if there's another Hasiya in the HI warehouse ( nepalis women's knife ) with about 8" sickle shaped blade, an inch or two of steel connecting the blade and handle, and the small horm handle maybe 4" long plus brass bolsters on either end.

Alternatively, make them replace the khuks with a 15" Sirupati.

Possibly the best solution would be to sneak em out and mail them to TBone ( Terry at the Sarki Shop ) to re-cover the scabbards in red or hot pink leather.

I'll keep thinking & let you know.
