First Proto of a new Bark River Knife: The HCF knife

k estela: Is it the lighting in the pic or is that blade a hollow-ground-convex edge?

I'm with some of the others. I would vote to keep the handle longer.

Just the lighting. It is convex ground.

I re-read. It will be slightly thinner than 3/16ths. I think 3/16ths is .1875.

I like it. That's just about the thickest any blade that length needs to be too. 1/8 would have been fine. My bravo-1 is too thick IMO.

Looks awesome...I like the thinner blade and the Aurora like handle...great combo...another one on the wish list! I still don't know why it isn't Scandi....??? I think that Barkriver could easily make a huge move into the knife market with a Scandi..the craftsmanship they put into thier knives and the following they have could only gaurantee a winner IMO. The discussion surrounding this knife had little mention of a Scandi Grind. If you aren't careful sharpening, your Scandi will become convexed anyway. I should have this Monday or Tuesday. I'll try to get a review in shortly thereafter.
