First rattlers of the season

Baikal vs Superior. That could be another one of those nasty threads... It's just me, but I call Baikal the biggest lake because of its greater volume of water, and I call Superior the largest because if its larger surface area.
 
Awesome pictures my friend, and I am also surprised at the more positive comments on snakes here. Maybe there is hope for humanity!
 
were is that in so cal. i used to see some huge snakes in sycamore canyon when i lived in san diego. used to scare the crap out of me. id be cruising down the trail on my bike and there would be a 6' snake just chillen out in the sun.
 
Western most hills here in the San Fernando valley. This area is where I do most of my quick day hikes because it's so close to home.
 
They're even out in the cooler Santa Monica Mountains. There was one on my mountain biking trail last week. Hey, there's another excuse I can use for having bought a bike with those new-fangled, taller 29 inch wheels!:D
