First Run BM-BA-SH II *PICS*

Why would this thread get locked? I'm just wondering what the value is. If I ever decide to sell I will do it in the proper forum. I'm also curious as to how rare these are.

I had to lock a similar thread early this morning. No worries, since you have a Gold membership, yer good to go. 👍

The credit card statement showing the SH II being ordered on February 13th and the two BM`s being ordered on February 17th, all in 1998. Looking for the BA statement. Does the documentation add any value?

No, it won't. Why? Because THIS poster has a paid membership that allows such posted questions.

I'm confused, I always thought Busse knives appreciated at a fixed rate of $1.00 per year, plus shipping...
 :D

slowride11, Please post some photos of your knives – we would love to see them. I feel the values would be toward the high end of those listed by resinguy, and the SHBM should go even higher. The first 300 or so of the SHBMs had a swedge ground on top of the blade about 3-4" back from the tip – these would likely sell for more. If the swedge is rounded on top instead of flat, it is 1 of 6 or so, and worth even more. Having the original sheath, with both the knife and sheath in new condition certainly helps the value, and your documentation is pretty cool too. Even the used SHBM would sell for much more than you paid for it assuming no significant damage. The old ones are still my favorites!

I know these are pretty crappy, I`ll take some better pics in a day or two and I`ll get all four in. All have the original sheaths and three out of the four are in new condition, as in never used or sharpened and truly mint. The BM pictured is mine, it has been used and sharpened. It has no significant damage, mostly cosmetic as in coating wear.. The other three are my dads.

Jaxx, LOL. I remember that dude. What a blast from the past. Ah, the SHBM. One of the few that I've owned, but didn't use. Learned from that, won't happen again. Hence, MUG. (Moab users group)....

Dude! You KNOW that you can't solicit sales in here! Try emailing; LOL wtf, brutha? :D;)

Thanks,

GregB

The swedge looks a little thin on top for a 1/300, could be a 1/6. But I've been wrong before...

Looks pretty narrow. I'd agree to the 1/6 style swedge.

The Badger from the mid 90s. Is it a 2 bolt handle fastener?

Great knives all the way around!

Judging from your photo I would say the two we have are 1/6.

Dibs! :D

Amazing that you have two of them. I love mine, it's my favourite user. I'm sure you know how nice it is to use.

I'd love to see pics of the ones your dad has.

As soon as I can get the time I will get some pics of dads. And yes, I love mine also, fell in love with it the day it came in the mail 17 years ago!

the price just went up. a 1/6 is probably closer to 1/20 but still more rare than a 300. Good luck guys. I see this one going over $1k
