On another note was wondering what anyone is using on the Walnut? I'am very happy with mineral oil so far. It seems to be getting get better and better.

Nice, I received the notice and it took me a while to piece together what T. K. K. stood.

I'm loving the variation of the 1st Kephart I got from BHQ (missed Tomar's 1st run) and the one that came in today. I'm starting to think about potentially getting some thin liners for the user (darker scales) as it's just a hair thin for me. And it gives me a way to subtley add some orange in there, which I like for visibility. Maybe I should consider some jade glow-in-the-dark. Hmmm...

On another note was wondering what anyone is using on the Walnut? I'am very happy with mineral oil so far. It seems to be getting get better and better.

I used mineral oil on my first one and am pretty pleased with how it's darkening.

My first one was dyed then BLO then after that cured a mix of mineral oil and beeswax. Number two will just get mineral oil.

What I like to is you can always add as needed and its not toxic Oh yea, I sure am likening this Knife

I used tung oil on mine - mineral oil evaporates, tung oil cures over about 10 days -- so it seals the pores better over the long term.
BLO will also cure over time - it just takes a little longer.
