First Sebenza

As the title says, I finally broke down and bought my first Sebenza (a small 21) in new condition. Now the waiting begins... I've a feeling this will likely be the first of many? I mean... gotta have a large at some point, right?
 
Ever seen or held a small sebenza? If not you'll be like damn this thing is pretty small haha
 
Yes you will eventually buy more.

I was in the same boat. Bought a small, loved it. Then got tempted because I didn't have a large. Got the large too.

I think medium would be end all knife for me, if one was made...

I've had a Mini Grip before which I've loved, but let go. I'm sorta expecting to feel pretty similar in hand (as they're close far as blade length and overall dimensions). On the smaller side... but that's good in my case for a work carry (cause sheeple customers).

I had a mini grip too.. Small sebenza is alittle bigger but not by much. I say you'll love it and buy a large next.
 
I guess I'm in the minority. I think the small Seb 21 is a little big to EDC everyday and cant imagine carrying a large. I EDC my Inkosi 99% of the time. Its the perfect size for me to have everyday. Small enough it scares no-one and easy to carry.

Nice choice! 10 years ago I bought my first CRK- a small sebenza! If you are anything like most of us, it will be the first of many:)
 
Congrats on the new knife! You will love it but yet not be satisfied until you try the large, then the Umnumzaan, then the Mnandi, etc..... I prefer the small for EDC (with my Inkosi mixed in). I carry a Mnandi at work in the office. I carry the large when I have a project going on. I grab the Umnumzaan for the car when going on a trip.

In my case it started and ended(for now(two years) at least) with the small plane 21. I have not felt any great urges to try out alle the other CRK or "collect them all". The small 21 just pushed alle the right buttons for me and I really love it!!

Seems I'm in a small group though, at least here on the forum, but I believe there a lot more "one CRK owners" in the world wide knife community.

You have ruined yourself for other knives. Yup, this IS only the 1st one!! :D And you WILL hold ever other knife UP to the Sebenza standard.
 
I made it about a Week with just one.

I got a Small too and it is really just too small for me,I have a hard time getting the blade out with one hand due to the size?

So I was also curious how much better a Large would work for me so the next week I snagged a Large too and clearly 1 is too many and 100 maybe not enough?

I've heard (and seen) a lot of people holding other knives up against the Sebenza standard. I'm interested in way to see how much this holds true for myself.
 
First Sebenza I ever held was a small 21...and not to rain on your parade, it really felt far too small in my hands. And my hands are not huge, perhaps a bit larger than normal....but I don't ever think I will see a small Sebenza in my collection. The Large 21/25....they are perfect fits. What I would give to see a Sebenza with a blade that is 4.5". That would be a dream come true.

But like others above have said, I went just over a week before I ordered my 2nd one...and it's in the mail. I was supposed to get it tomorrow, but it looks like I have to make it thru the weekend and wait until Monday for my "Starbenza". But hey, the small one might work for you....it does for a lot of other people. I carry a Spyderco Military for most purposes, but now I also carry a Sebenza...and I feel like a million bucks. lol
