First Spyderco.I'm hooked (Endura4)

Yea I'd say you're too old ;).

All joking aside, the endura is a solid classic. Now, go get some more!

I am a fan. I got my FRN Delica4 and next day I bought a Endura4.
Interesting enough, I got FRN so it is not too pricy to be use and after playing around, I also feel it is too nice to be use LOL.

Wuyeah,

I actually registered so I could reply to you. I personally don't think my Delicas and Enduras are all that pretty to put in a drawer and look at. The real beauty I find is when I use them. I bought a Sharpmaker so I could sharpen them after they become dull from use. These knives are wonderful to hold, and cut like the dickens.

Just use them. If you don't want to sharpen them yourself, Spyderco will do it for $5 shipping. Send them in one at a time. Better yet, get a Sharpmaker to keep them the way you like them. if you get a few scratches, that just means you use them. The FRN handles seem to be pretty much indestructable.

These knives are meant to be used, not looked at. Thier design is function not looks. You will enjoy them a lot more using them than collecting them.

LOL, jnichols2, register to reply to members is part of the fun!
I actually do use my delica and endura. Not as much with endura due to the carrying size. But not use them hard like many guys here :P
Both of mine are Orange, since I use them and got few hairline. I have been thinking grabbing a pair of green....

I picked up my first Endura 4 about two weeks ago. Love it. It is super light compared to the other folders I've carried in the past. So, I bought a second one.

Slowly selling off my "other" folders.. I'll be ordering another Endura4 in the future..I was going to get a Salt but I've been reading mixed reviiews on the H1 steel...

Never too old to be hooked! But if your unsure, I'd say buy some more to make sure ;)

I also recently just got a blue Endura 4, and a orange Delica. My only other Spyderco is a Wally World Native, so my inexpensive Spyderco collection is set now.

akula is my most used stage name; so you read Clancy, Russian, served on a Russian sub, or like sharks? :-)

I had several Enduras and Delicas some years ago. They seem expensive for what you get. Special steel means almost $100, the price of a Mannix 2 XL. Great knife, but they sure were cheaper a few years ago. I'm not sure if I like the sabre grind or new grind. One of each I guess! Probably both VG-10 (Japanese cooking steel.)

(I always preferred the endura to the delica for the added length of the blade; too bad they now have liners --- mine never needed them and were really light.)

Enjoy!

After two weeks of EDC heres my opinion on the Endura4...I can't see me ever needing, wanting another folder..I've researched,you-tubed and read about the other Spyderco models and can't see any real advantages over the 3.75 inch blade FFG VG10 Endura4...Its so light you don't even know its in your pocket!

I wish I would have discovered Spyderco years ago..It would have saved me sooo much money in my quest for the perfect every day carry..
