If you don't like the tenacious, go endura 4 with a ffg blade and zip tie wave mod,I sold blur cause it never seen pocket time after that.....then the spyderco addiction began

I have two Resilience! Which says a lot I guess ;)

8Cr13MoV done by Spyderco is better than OEM 8Cr. There's a video on YT (by Ruslankiyasov) testing OEM (Enlan) 8Cr compared to Tenacious, it lasted longer. Heat Treat is the key I guess.

Looking at your pic your Blur is either 13c26n or 14c28n Sandvik steel.

Steel choice doesn't mean jack!
Your blade is only as sharp as your sharpening skills!

I love the Tenacious. It wasn't my first spyderco, I had a couple of sages, delica, endura, PM2, and a Caly 3.5 first. So I though I wouldn't like it. I thought it would be a downgrade too. But the design and mechanics are tops! The blade centers perfect, it was extremely smooth, lockup was rock solid, fills the hand well, nice blade shape... it's a great knife! But who cares what anyone else thinks. If you like it, hey thats all that matters. I carry mine just as often as my m390 PM2. Love the Tenacious! Get a blue or green g10 sprint and you'll like it even more!

Some of the very sharpest knives right out of the box that I have owned have been 8Cr13Mov and AUS8.

As far as Spyderco knives go...my favorite steel used is their VG-10 in their Seki City knives.
