First Spyderco

I went out and got a spyderco native today from wally world and it is great and already a$$ shaving sharp right out of the box. It is my 3rd native, the first two were the result of one being lost and the other being sold off to a friend. I always regreted that sale, but now it's back and on my pocket (well in my hand now until I get off the computer :D). Good choice of knife, and try looking for the $40 dollar native at wally world, it might be a few dollars more in Canada, but it's still inexpensive.

Just get it over with and order the Caly3/Manix (depending on whether you want something more refined or something more hefty than the Delica.)
Oh, right, the Millie.
Oh yeah, and the Native.
And then there's the cricket for s-curve action...
Good grief, these knives are way too much fun.
(If you've got the cash, though, find a Caly3CF.)

Yep, I was pretty much thinking Caly3 next, right after I get a new multi tool (LM Charge TTI with s30v blades). And I don't care how much it costs when it comes out I will get the Kevin Wilkins collab later on this year...
cheers

I just got the msg in the mail that I have a package at the post office. Which could only mean one thing....SPYDIE'S HERE!!! Of course I was home all day and the d-bag mail man never knocked on the door and checked off that I didn't answer....the guys do it all the time and it's annoying! But I can't wait for the morning, I'm going to be the first one at that office and pick it up :D I'll be adding a review asap. I'm so glad it cleared customs!!!!

I have a similar story from today. . . I arranged to get out of work a little early today so I could get my package from UPS containing my new Mule Team knife. UPS always leaves packages at the office of the apartment complex if I'm not home. Unfortunately though, traffic on the way home was a nightmare and I ended up getting to the office about 10 minutes after they closed. Now I probably won't be able to pick it up 'till Saturday. And I have an appointment at the eye doctor so I won't even be able to get it first thing in the morning. :grumpy: I'm going so crazy thinking about it being so close but not being able to get my hands on it that I went and bought a Temperance off of the evil auction site to make me feel better! :D

Have fun with your new Spydie! I'll be using my Delica and/or Dragonfly at work tomorrow wishing I had that Mule to try out on some of the hefty double and triple walled cardboard cartons that we have.

Okay so my Spydie got here last night and I think it's great. It's light and compact. It's sharp as a light saber, easy to open and the handle feels great in my hand. One complaint I have is closing it is hard seeing how light it is, I cut my hand closing it but once you get the handle on it you do fine. So yeah I've been bitten by the spyder! It's great for cutting cardboard and opening mail. I wouldn't use it for heavy duty work like cutting branches or massive rope. But overall it is great. I can see myself ordering the Caly3 with wave next.
Thanks for everyones help in choosing my first spyderco.
