First Stock Removal Blade Critique.

Once you make a few excellent performing knives, you will see beauty in their design, and the "fancy" designs start looking silly. Darthtaco, what is the intended use of the knife. If it is all around use, then the narrower point will feel better in hand. If you genuinely need a bushcraft knife, then you will compromise EDC functionality to get the other traits that knife will need. Tryppyr raises good points.

I think the handle should be longer. I like a minimum of 4.5" along the top edge. If the butt slants forward, then 4" works on the bottom edge. If you might be wearing gloves, then 5"/4.5" might be better. Just MHO.

The handle is shorter because I have little girly hands, and don't need a huge handle. It'll mostly be used as a hunting/skinning knife when used.

Do the full flat grind then, take the edge down to about 0.015- 0.020" before sharpening, and sharpen 20Deg/side.

I size handles for men & women for my customs. Having a little more length never hurts! :D No, Really, its good to have a little counter balance and be able to grasp the knife in a few different grips.
