Been lurking a bit here, and have been watching the progress of Survive! For quite some time. Finally after seeing tests on the new HT protocol, I couldn't just be a bystander anymore. Jump to today's arrival...

In my rush to get one, I ordered the wrong scales, even though they were sold out, Ellie and Guy got me my Green Canvas,, woohoo!

This was the ONLY thing I could imagine being considered a flaw,,and I really had to look for it!

And what would be Surviving without a little something to keep you warm at night?

Cheers Guy and Ellie, you've got a fan for life here.
User pics will follow next week after a camping trip.

Congrats on your knife RCB, mine is set up very similarly! The 5.1 is like the infidu of the survive line (if that makes sense) both are great all arounders and have a ton of love on the forums

Congratulations! My favorite until I got my GSO 5.1 was an RMD (not Infidu). I sure hope you enjoy your new GSO as much as I have mine.

Go forth and BUSHCRAAAAFFFT!

Very cool! Do enjoy that amazing blade. Looks like they really loaded you up with goodies!

Looking forward to more pics and some thoughts when you get to put her to work

Nice! 5.1 is my only (so far) S!K, but there will be more.
I put one of my stickers on my kayak, but was having trouble deciding where to put the other one. After seeing your last pic, I have decided.

Let us know how it holds up with the time in water.

They are really loading these up! I'm glad you landed one, and thanks for the pictures.

Nice blade,Congrats!
I never cared for the rmd---scales were too flat for my hands.
The 5.1 is a much better knife, great design & perfect size.

Pretty sure im just gonna keep buying on the monday sales and in a few years have 100 S! Knives lol... I honestly dont see myself buying any other fixed blades except for more Moras for cheap beaters.... Congrats on a beautiful knife!

5.1 is my first S!K and I m sold the moment I held it in my hand. I ordered many more after that [emoji106]

RCB! Nice score!

I have yet to find a knife I like better than my 5.1

Very nice 5.1!!
The Survive! quality is Second to None IMO.

So got out this weekend with some guys, and got to play with a 'few' blades...

I gave the GSO a good workout on some very hard Walnut..

In addition to battening through it, I was whacking pretty hard laterally on it.

Later it came in handy slicing onions and cilantro to go with the carnitas tacos

Wish I could have spent more time with it and get a more thorough review, but with that many blades it was hard to concentrate on just one! Kid in a candy store doesn't even come close.

It was a VERY wet rainy and windy day, but thankfully I stayed dry and the GSO had zero spotting.

After a decent workout all weekend, it still shaves with ease.
I can comfortably say it held its own along side some heavy hitters.
Can wait to keep using it.
Cheers!
