First Survive! Knife

Here are some photos of my first GSO 5.1 in CPM-3V which I had ordered on 4/11 and received on 4/30:

Continued...

OK, I have to get the hang of the image hosting on this BF Site, since I am loading up from my iMac and NOT an outside photo hosting site, so I guess that you can't see what I'm posting :o

Can anyone open these attachments which I've posted? Well, obviously I can but when I go to BF on another browser but do not log in with my BF moinker, I can't access these attachments!

Alright so I'm gonna talk to myself on here for a while and enjoy my own company :D

I may have figured out as to why my GSO 5.1 as posted is marked a 2nd and I used a Kassoy 18mm-10X magnifier (the type which diamond merchants use hanging on their necks, although I am neither a diamond merchant nor have any idea as to how exactly I came across this little magnifier!) Anyway, in the last photo presented as attachment 632872, you will notice that the V at the very tip is ever so slightly asymmetrical and we are perhaps talking maybe 1mm or so. I wonder if the others will also notice this and I will be able to verify when I get my second one ordered on 4/11.

P.S. you will see the very tip viewed directly from above looking onto one of the the Kydex sheath's lashing holes, if you know what I mean!

I can't! I know Ellie has had the same problem using an I pad. I do all my bladeforuming from my Samsung phone so I'm no help :(

Oh crap!, and here I was thinking I was on the brink of a major discovery :p

Holy knives, man! Kid in a candy store is putting it mildly, more like the factory. That's great you've got a bunch of guys and can pool all those great blades together to do a test drive. Additionally, I'll take the 'squatch at your earliest convenience. :D

Thanks for sharing, looks like a blast.

Haha it was pretty amazing, the squatch isn't mine,, but was very cool.

OK, we are having some success as I am getting the hang of this although now my photos are not in the exact sequence which I would have liked to present them!

The flaw which I think I have discovered is presented and showing in the very last photo.

They're working for me. I'm on tapatalk though.

Yup, I got the photo hosting figured out now.

For those who don't know, like I didn't:

If photos are on your computer (PC or Mac):

1- load up onto BF which will act as your photo hosting platform.

2- Once you have uploaded your photos as attachments, you have an option here called, "Manage Attachments" which you will have to click on and then click onto the photos which you wish to post on here and drag them into the box which you will see (max 5 photos per post)

Sorry, teaching is not my forte so I'm sure someone else can explain this procedure much better than I can!

Wow rcb, that is an awesome amount of steel. I knew you guys would bring a bunch, but I wasn't prepared for the sheer amount. Did you get any time with that light chopper from NTM? I'm glad the 4.7 didn't disappoint, can't wait for the 3V.

Wait a second........ did I miss something in rcb's pics or does HK have 4.7's on the brain as bad as I do?????

Oh that was one of the first ones I grabbed. My thoughts are, it's SUPER light (shocking huh?),, and very nimble for its size. It's pretty similar to a Browning Crowell Barker in dimension and weight.

Really would like to get my hands on a Gso 10 2nd gen,,, I'm seriously considering it

No, just a 5.1 there,, I think he's got the 4.7 on the brain :D. Might have hallucinated and seen it!

I didn't know if he thought he saw a 4.7 or just typed 4.7 by accident when he really meant 5.1. Either way I can totally relate.

Just yesterday I was daydreaming of the 4.7 as I was driving my 4.7. I didn't notice the 4.7 light change to red and I almost bumped into the 4.7 ahead of me. Luckily I was able to slam on my 4.7 at the last second and avoided a serious 4.7 :D

Hahahahahaha! Classic

So got out this weekend with some guys, and got to play with a 'few' blades...

That's a lot of goodness on those tables. A couple FBM CBT, do want! A light chopper by NTM! Would love to see these two compared to the upcoming GSO 10.
Looks like that was a good time!
