First TGA2 mod

Nothing major.......but it did turn out beautiful. Died the micarta scales black. They turned out almost a super deep, rich brown, but it matches the muddy blade perfectly.

I've thought about doing this on some of my canvas micarta, looks like it works well. :thumbsup:
 
I used black liquid rit dye. Micarta soaks that stuff right up. It's definitely permanent and doesn't come off no matter how hard you rub it.
 
I may do thast to my TGM A2 when it gets here, if Maroon canvas doesn' live up to my expectations lol

There seems to be a lot of variety in the depth of color in the Maroon batches...on my BURP it was a deep rich Burgundy

That looks really nice. Great job on a seemingly simple Mod. Gives me a little inspiration. Is that really muddy? It sure looks like Desert Sage in the pics.
