weird I tried rit before and it came off and/or didn't work too well "old school greenish color" might try it on my newer batch blackies that are like black denim color when dry and turn jet black when wet

sometimes the maroon looks like dark blood somtimes, browninish tint and sometimes pale red... it varies a lot. same with the green which went from springtime green to a tannish color. The batches are sometimes way off

I'm still surprised with the Maroon I got on my burp - Today they look nothing like the day I got it. They are a deep burgundy/bordeaux wine color - I'm very pleased how they turned.

Handles look good though. Will definitely have to give that a try on some other micarta handled knives....

What method did you use to dye the handles?

Added Rit Dye to hot water. Let it soak for 10 minutes then rinse under cold water.
