First time buyer

Yes why not ;)

I really like the Delica 4 and the new one the Domino.
I think these will be next.

-----------------

Now i just orderer the mini collection the Bug, Honeybee and the Grasshopper to complete my EDC keychain.
I didn't know what size i need... so i ordered them all

Them plus my Victorinox Minichamp and / or the Letherman CS Pliers will be the perfect combo.

I will take pictures with all the knives i have for size refference when the above arrive.

------------

So, no info on the PM2 production numbers for the sprint runs ?

Can't believe that it has been almost 7 years ago since I got these knives! From all of them, I still got my Paramilitary 2 which I used almost every day. I rotate it with the Sebenza 21 Damascus from time to time.

The PM2 still is my favorite EDC folder. Wanted to 'retire' it and get another one in the DLC M390 flavor with the blue G10 on the bentobox website but one thing lead to another and I got a .... Hinderer XM-24 DLC 'Jade' with the CPM 20CV Gen6 beast of a knives. Oh my God !

Kind of fun to have a look back and seeing how your tastes have matured.:)

Exactly. ;) I gave the Police and the other PM2 to friends as gifts. And left with the SOG for camping while the PM2 and Sebenza for EDC.

Now the Hinderer was the only one I couldn't get at that time (was looking for the Xm18). Plus, in a way I am glad I didn't, so now I can have it with the ball bearing bushing system and metal bar insert, which came out in 2018. Will see how the XM24 is in day to day use since it is such tank of a knife, but for now, 4 knives are enough ... hopefully :D

Well i own a small sebenza, a birthday present. Last year i decided to give syderco a second look after all these years . Surprise, a much improved product . I bought a lil native and a manix2 in 20cv. Also pm2 in m390.
That manix2 has been in my pocket for year . 20cv is become my favorite.
The manix is truly a one handed knife, The compression lock not so much .
Likewise the sebenza is too.
Pricewise two sydercos for one reeve. Steel, Syderco gives many more choices . Finish , fit . reeve
Material. Reeve .
Just buy one good knife a year

Jake

Interesting thread looking 7 years backwards, thanks for refreshing it :) Beautiful knives. Now, as long as you still value the tri-way and lock-bar insert over PB washers and a raw Ti lock in the Hinderer, you have more way to go it feels to me :) Also, check out the new O1 XM-24.

Thanks for the insight Jake.
Oh yes money wise, new, I paid $575 because I wanted the Damascus blade. Looking back, yeah I lot of money, considering the PM2 is my favorite (paid only $140-ish?) and like you said, with Spyderco we have so many option. Back then wanted to the full PM2 collection of sprint runs and exclusive models so yeah :D
Steel wise, yeah the best I had so far is the S30V on the PM2. Can't remember what the Damascus Sebenza is made from but still is enough for me. I think I sharpen the PM2 once a year. Everything I buy, I use. Working in a kitchen gives me plenty of stuff boxes to open and cut :D

ferider ferider . Thank you! :) Aha I see. I friend has an XM18 3.5 DLC M390 and will meet with him soon, to see how if feels without the tri-way.
Just had a quick look at the O1 XM24. Looks very nice ! A lot of stuff to catch up on now. The Sebenza 31 is around the corner etc.

Ah by the way guys, can my Spyerco Sharpmaker handle the CPM 20CV from the Hinderer?

Merry Christmas everybody! Can't believe that an item can jump start things in ones life's. It even inspire me to make my own YouTube channel. Plus I can't believe that's it's been over 11 years since I started this thread.

From all of my knives, the PM2 is the only one still with me and still use it everyday, mostly in the kitchen now. It's my steak knife and vegetable prep. Just love how it cuts.

Here he is, the DLC is exceptionally resiliant even after all this time and usage.
I think the only true replacement for it would be also a PM2 but in Magnacut. See whenever they are back in stock in Europe.

So if you are a new buyer and see this post, just pull the trigger on the PM2.

I still have my original PM2 also. It's a very early release, so probably at least 13 years old. I still love it, as you love yours, and will likely have it a lot longer.
