I'm looking to buy my first folder and I'm thinking benchmade or spyderco.
Now I don't know where online to buy, is knife center a good place?

imho ya can get by with just those 4, i cant remember the last time i did business with someone else, imho those 4 are the best of the best, maybe not the cheapest but always close, they ship fast, and stand behind the product.

a lot of times, on ther 'net, the cheapest isnt the best, hey if ya never get the stuff they can be selling awfully cheap and still ya get screwed lol, and sad to say a lot of scammers around these days.

I just wish they would lower the Ups cost a little or give out some nice shipping deals.

$8 isn't bad. Imagine if you lived outside the US, those guys get beat on shipping charges really bad.

Generally speaking, the shipping & handling doesn't go up as fast as the merchandise, so buying more than just one cheap item at a time actually saves money. I keep a wish list, and when I see something I want right away, or that might be discontinued soon, I order that and a couple of "wishies" that I really can use.
