First-time buyers beware

I can't really agree with the expensive part. I come back and buy knives when my money is running low from buying guns. Heck of a lot cheaper to buy HI and Spyderco than guns. But I'll always be a gun collector first... just bought a SCAR 17 a few months ago. That was $2500+ for just one rifle. Then you have to buy mags at almost $40 each. And a $400 match trigger. And sling and replacement parts for things you don't like quite well enough. Then $1000-$3000 for an appropriate scope.

Still think knives are an expensive hobby? (And let's not even let the motorcycle or vintage car people get started or this will really get ugly!)

Yea...HI collecting is much lighter on my wallet than my buying, restoring, and selling of classic Mopars.
