Okay so I decided to make the leap and give my 9 the Clich-Bath.
I must admit, I was a little apprehensive of ending up with bad results. In the end, I'm pretty happy with how my first try came out.

What ya think...?

Awesome, everytime I see a cliched knife I think , that's what I want mine to look like. Lol! It look like rattle snake hide.

Nice work. That first photo almost looks like the tips broke off? BTW, why does everyone call a blue/bleach etching a "clich bath"?

He's just associated with it....before I did my first one, every thread I searched included Clitch..he stepped up with a how-to that has been utilized a lot by beginners like myself...

Very cool, Vaporooski. I keep having the urge to Clich one of my 9's, and you guys aren't helping with all of your badass modded Combat Bowies. Maybe I'll do one of mine this weekend.

I have been meaning to do this myself; looks like you have motivated me to do it soon.
An etched 2, 14, opinel and Bushlore here I come :D

How long did you leave yours in for?

Not sure. I think its started back when I modded that knife for geegee. People liked the etch and asked for a write up. Dunno where "cliched" came from, but I'd like to clarify I followed how tos just like everybody else. The credit belongs to many others. All I did was experiment with application and dipping techniques for different effects.

that is pretty damn sweet! How exactly did u apply the blue to create that pattern? looks almost like u taped stripes or something, I like it.

Same reason why all the Clipped 2s will be ''Warriorized" as in ''I Warriorized my 2 today!" LOL

I think that's what it is. Lots of people just hang out here, and miss out on a lot of good stuff on the other sub-forums. BTW, the blue/bleach etching on your 5 is still my fav. I actually liked it better with the micarta scales though. The 4 looks sweet too.

Oh heeeeeellllll no, lol. :D

Regarding the tip, that's how I bought it. Not quite sure how to grind it right. I'm sure I'll try soon enough.
As for Clich-Bath, that's how I learned of it.
Thanks for sharing Clich!
