Last weekend was rough for me fishing wise, but I more than made up for it this weekend.
Since the nice weather has brought the fair weather fisherman out to play I decided to run for the hills. I spent the day fishing a n. GA river and got into some healthy browns.

Today I returned to the Chattahoochee(and dodged kayaks and big ol’ egg sinkers chunked at me from across the river because apparently some people don’t know that you don’t need a 75’ cast to catch a trout!((ok, rant over))
My over all numbers were good but I had a hard time getting the fish to the net today. I lost at least 5 or 6 due to horseing em in.
My boss has been on my case about bringing him some of the trout I catch, so I finally kept a couple of the large stockers to get him off my back. The peanut that has been in my front pocket religiously for months now made short work of the cleaning.

You know, the peanut has pretty much kicked all other knives out of my pocket over the last couple months. My biggest complaint with the 77 has always been its size. It’s just a bit too large for me. Since I still carry the Fiddleback on my hip every day I’ve come to prefer a pocket knife that’s small enough to forget about.

But heck, I might just have to throw the barlow in my pocket tomorrow, now!

I had to get my 6wt out and practice for a trip to Arkansas later this year. I got two drum and a dozen bass in an hour. As always I had my roach belly with me but I forgot to get it in any of the pictures.
