Five small 3V EDC Knives, micarta, G10

I have held my tongue so far and I would not have won anyway but I have to say this since this is the second time that this has happened in the last 2 weeks:

When the supplies are so tight, it is in bad form and disregard for your fellow CPK enthusiasts when you ask for multiple units. I know that Nathan had stated in the past that he has no problem with this,
but I just could not remain silent even if I should get banished!

Fellas, this is bad decorum and IMHO, multiples should only be requested in a possible preorder thread. One unit per person per occurrence per sales thread when there are so few. Flame me if you want!

I found it sorta strange that it was their first post on BFC.

Casino , I agree with only 5 for sale , 1 per person would be polite (I should have gotten more than one ) , amazing the member with only 1 post killed it though !!!!!
I have say these sales are so exciting !!!!!
I am an addict , first step admitting you are an addict !!!
Thank you Nathan for making beautiful and tough knives , adding the EDC to its big brothers LC and FK
Cannot wait to fondle this little "chubby "

I think realistically that anyone well versed in writing a script and familiar with vBulletin can probably create an exploit to come in on these very very quickly. Think of it as Auction Sniper for BFC. If it happens, there is not much anyone can do about it given the current selling protocols.

It's not sour grapes on my part at all but this is the 2nd time that it has happened and I'm afraid that it will establish a bad precedence as and if it continues.

Kudos to the 1st poster to have nailed it with his first ever BF post (Justin that's not you in another cloak, is it? :p) but let's just have a
consensus for the future to stick to one item per person per occurrence. Thank you.

The problem with that idea is that these are not auctions set to finish at a precise clock time ran by a computer. It is basically Jo / Nate pushing the thread unlock button according to their PC's 3:00 PM time Eastern.

So just because it was my first post means I shouldn't get a fair shot at it like anybody else?
I signed up here and got the membership so I would be able to purchase some of Nathans knives.
I didn't realize it was bad form to request multiples (I saw it done on the other threads).

Casino, It's just how it goes. When I show up to work late I have to park further away... The way Nathan handles his sales (which I like) this sort of behavior is unavoidable. First come first serve IMO...this is coming from a guy who was 10th in line. [emoji6]

PharetH, you followed something which was a bad precedence set by someone else. I think that your request should be honored even if this irks others (the one at spot # 5) However this should stop beyond here by a CPK Brass's decree and clarification. I have nothing personally against you.

Ignore the peanut gallery. Nathan already stated his position and you've done nothing wrong. Welcome to the forum.

Nope, wasn't suggesting anyone should have any more chance than anyone else. No meaning to my other post than exactly what I typed out.

It's been discussed before. And I asked about this same senario. A number of members have said they would like to get a knife , not only for self but for a friend or relative. even Proxy buys have been ok'd.
We can have a consensus among the members, but Nathan has to set the rules. All we can do is follow them. And watch out for any abuse.

And sure in this early stage it would have been nice for 1 knife per person.

I came 6th so it wouldn't have mattered in my case either. I have expressed an opinion but this is not my business to demand things. I still maintain one unit per person per sales thread whilst supply is so tight is a fairer system. That's all. I'll now zip it!

It's not bad form. You're cool. Thank you for joining us here.

I have an extra knife in process, I'll honor the first five posts here.

Nathan is a big boy and can make his own rules. He doesn't need others telling him how to run his business.
He'll make more of these as he's already said. Try again next time.

You're an honorable Gent Nathan. Feel badly that I had to bring this up but I did NOT want drama! Sorry pal.
