Fixed blade EDC?

Thanks to everyone who answered, I have been told that my edc is very strange. During the winter I wear my favorite long jacket so it easily conceals an 11'' tanto fighter, I realized that that might be strange after I saw that most of y'all carry fairly small fixed edc's. Haha, and I really liked all of the carry methods that i saw as well.

I normally carry a Spyderco Moran like so:

Starting tomorrow I'll be carrying this as well:

i carry a bear mcg skinner in a custom leather sheath at 11 oclick on my left hip(makes getting into the pocket a chore) trying to replace it because the steel sucks and the geometry was off out of the box and i have my ful size ka-bar ill carry in summer away from the firehouse....and most people and if i get tired of the bear ill carry a meyerco/dirk pinkerton persian(sucks almost as much as the bear) ill post pics when i get the time but does anyone have a reccomended fixed blade thats about the same price as an izula but bigger not 400 series stainless im thing maybe nine inch OAL

My EDC fixed line-up includes:
Fiddleback Karda (3-finger) for pocket carry
RAT/ESEE Izula for pocket or neck carry
Bark River Pro-Scalpel II for pocket or neck carry
KA-BAR/Becker BK-11 for pocket or neck carry
Bark River Fox River for belt or backpack carry (not shown)

Izula II for me. Carry it horizontal on my belt right above the left hand pants pocket.

decided to try a fixed blade for edc and the Bark River psk was my first choice. liked the 154 cm steel and as a edc i thought going with a stainless might not be a bad idea. will do a mini review of this mini fixed blade in the near future.

I always have my 5.11 Fixed Karambit with me. I wear a suit to work and it would not go over well if anyone saw it so during warmer months when my jacket will be off it is in my bag. During cold months I have a jacket or sweater over it for concealment.

I have owned a couple of CRKT Polkowski Kasper fixed blades for about 10 years. I love the knives but I rarely carry them because the sheaths they came with are horrible. I just bought some kydex and will be attempting my first sheath soon so may carry them more.

Also, I have a Bark River City Knife with approx. 2.5 inch blade on its way. It comes with a leather sheath designed for the pocket so I will be trying that out to see if I like it.

Good luck in finding a fixed blade EDC.

These are regularly carried... (in sheaths I made)

I'll get a carry pic up soon.

My favorite way is with a pocket clip sheath. Right front pocket.

I made this knife and sheath (the sheath is one of my earlier attempts, so it was much rougher than what I make now).

I think I have made 8 or so for my self now.

Here is one for a BAD (Busse Boney Active Duty).

I can comfortably carry up to a 5 inch blade this way. Just the handle top shows, so not too scary to people when just walking about (and not considered concealed with the top of the handle showing).

this is how a SS looks in the pocket (the BAD sheath sits even deeper). Ignore the square edges (I made this one while out of town, and finished the edges up on my sander later).

BK11 with my very first attempt at cocobolo scales.
BRKT Bravo Necker 2 with my 3rd attempt at scales
boot dagger that I am in the process of making

I carry mine horizontally on the back of my belt.

on my sog ranger the sheath fits perfectly in my jeans pocket while its hooked onto my belt. as long as i dont keep my pants around my knees my shirt completely covers it. i'l take a picture next time i get up.

7in. Ka-Bar!!!!
Oh, who am I kidding, I carry it (at most) once a month. I will be carrying my Peter Janda D2 fixed blade every day when it shows up.

I edc my Izula II on occasion...

...currently working on a Junglas/smatchet hybrid for EDC and zombie ninja disposal, though...

I pack a BK14(vertical, right hip) or ESEE 4(horizontal, small of back) daily in addition to a large folder.

The smatchet is... interesting. Are many of them dagger-ground (not sure if that is the proper term, with both the front and back being sharpened)?

I'm not sure...I do believe they are the result of a mall ninja's wet dream, though...
