Hello, I'm new to the forum and just got my first fixed-blade Spyderco. I love the steel and its sharpness! Anyone else here who prefer fixed blades? And, I hope its not too much trouble if I ask some photos too... . :)

Hi Ryomaru,

Thanx for the support and welcome to the Spyderco forum.

We've made a few fixed blades. I'm sure you will get some ideas here.

welcome to the forums dczippo.....nice pix of your Moran
George, the Mules seem to be gone/sold out already

Bought a Moran drop point earlier this year and love it. Very comfortable in the hand and a nice size. Have not used it much, though, because of the sheath/tek-lok. I have tried and tried but cannot find a comfortable way to carry it. I have carried it a couple times without the tek-lok, and that works, but I'd really prefer to have it hanging on my belt, where a good fixed blade should be. May have to make my own sheath for it.

I would love to be able to carry a Street Beat concealed here in CA. Oh well, the paranoid laws out here are worth the weather to me. Besides, I'm plenty happy with my folders. I can't complain.

To Sal: Thanks alot sir!

To Carpdiem & Swingshot: Since I'm Asian, I have the FB11 Kumo though its discontinued already. I've read some posts about it, some like it, some don't (mainly due to the epoxy-saturated cord) but I like mine and it serves me well.

I am one of the few who likes it as well. I didn't at first, but after reading the designer's thoughts on the subject...especially the epoxy-cord, I re-evalutated my opion. It is a really really nice blade.

Signed,
