Fixed Blade of Folder?

More often than not, both, a SA and a small fixed blade. I have been enjoying a small scalpel by JR knives, or a Childress neck knife.

I carry both daily. Love both. I prefer to use a fixed blade for comfort, "feel" and peace of mind. That said, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything when using a folding knife.

Out of those 2, I'd choose the fixed blade.
The blade of the folder is to wide for my taste.
Living in an urban environment I carry a folder.

Both..?

I carry a folder most times for convenience and discretion.

When clothes allow, I carry a fixed blade, or two (one on each side).

Ideally I carry both fixed and folders whenever I can, because I feel confident one will compensate the other's weak points (prying/concealing/ease of access/brute strength...)

And I try to combine edge types, a serrated folder with plain edged fixed or viceversa.

Love them both!

Fixed all the way! I have a dozen or so folders left, but they are literally in a box in my closet. I carry one of my custom fixed every day, without exception, ever. Even if I have a day at work when I'm in meetings all day & feel it would be best to go blade-less, I throw one onto my belt either as soon as I get home or even in the car, if I'm stopping at the store or something first. I just feel naked otherwise...which isn't the worst thing, considering my keenly chiseled physique. Shut up, it's the Interweb, I can lie all I want.
