Etched and stripped my AMS. I’ve had this one a good while and the coating was to the point where I’d have to etch or lose the logo. I’m damn happy with how it turned out.

Here she is after scotchbrite, steel wool, and an abundance of grease of the elbow.

Etch came out CLEAN. It's a labor of love.

Thank you. Yes sir ya can. Hows that Slotted sheath working for pocket carry?

It's great so far - the knife easily fits in my right front pocket next to my S&W J-frame 360PD, with the firearm in a sticky holster or DeSantis nemesis pocket holster. I'm planning to see if I can wrap a lanyard around the belt loop, so that the sheath can be retained in the pocket when I draw the knife out by the lanyard...

EDIT - I might also have a way to attach an Ulticlip to the sheath to clip it to the opening of my pocket (if the flat metal bar I have can be easily drilled to fit on the screw side of the clip while on the back of the sheath slot)

I have a Hog Badger I’m thinking about etching and stripping. Been thinking about it over a year now lol.

A Joe Calton small fixed blade in the form of a Murray Carter neck knife, quite thin 440C blade and razor toothy sharp, Joe certainly knows how to sharpen a knife! Scales are purple G10 and overall a very slim light knife.

I’ve even thought about selling it. That way I’ll go buy an uncoated version lol. But there’s something about ,,, what if it turns out almost like a comp finish Plus l would like having the coating under the handles.
I have a few that AZTimT did his handy work on, I love those knives !!! really miss his work.

That's why i love strippers, the coating under the handle solves the rust issue, also, ive had them turn out damn good like comp finish. The regular non cerakote coating falls off with citristrip and then its just a little elbow grease cleaning everything up.

Who makes the third knife down? And what is it called by the way? I recognize the others. Chris Reeves, Carothers, & Toor Knives.
