Yes, that is the mid-tech version of the S.A.F.E. Knife, 100% made in the U.S.A. A 3/16" thick blade of CPM154, and 4.75" long.

There is a pre-order for custom configurations up on the home page of Gear Convoy right now. Preorder knives will begin shipping as soon as we get back from Blade Texas and as we go through the different build batches. There will be some Scouts (basic model pictured here) available starting tomorrow morning and shipping on Mon/Tues. There's blog post explaining it on the home page also. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Sam, I noticed the "TekLine" marking. When are those slated to show-up on the Gear Convoy site?

Also, what are the specs on the blade?

Sometimes you just find yourself drawn to certain makers in your collecting and other times you start to find yourself needing to build an addition onto your home for all your knives... Sounds like an awesome problem to have though, when you have good taste in knives.

Very observant! We finally got the built in blowers replaced so no need for the insert/blower. I think the insert works very well.

Damn neat set up to make a fireplace do more for your heating!!!!! I love my wood stove but I like to see the FIRE!!!!!.....So 80% of the time the stoves open with a screen on.....

I can totally relate, nothing like having a flickering flame nearby in the house. Something about the do it yourself nature of fire heating is rewarding as well.

Comparison of my new Drake to 2 other knives of similar size. Love the entire package, original profile, large and comfortable denim scales and sheath. Don't use the leather loop for now, but might in the future.
