Get familiar with the CPK section here on blade as CPK knives are very hard to get. They sell out instantly when they drop. They have Friday sales and there is a thread to watch for them. You can’t just order them off their website. I mean I’m sure if you offered Nathan like $10k for a single knife you want I am sure he would make it for you…. LolThank you. Good day. Who made the ones with the “S” makers mark?
No its steer shin bone. I do use a lot of camel bone but tend to use it in white. I've used some dyed camel bone in the past but it doesn't seem to take the color as well. At least what I;ve used from several different suppliers. Ya start out with a nice deep color but by the time ya get all done working it, ya've lost most of it and ya end up with a pastel type coloring. Didn't seem worth it. Sometimes it happens with the cattle bone too. But I find that more attractive as the cattle seems to work into a lighter color in areas. To my eye better looking than the pastel thing. This Paisano lighten up where worked but I find this more attractive than what the camel bone does.Is the bone camel bone? Just curious.
Thanks for the good info, I have a duck Childress knife in yellow camel bone and it looks slightly lighter in shade. No its steer shin bone. I do use a lot of camel bone but tend to use it in white. I've worked enough of both different types of bone that I can tell em apart when working them. They have a different feel when working.
