Fixed blades

Get familiar with the CPK section here on blade as CPK knives are very hard to get. They sell out instantly when they drop. They have Friday sales and there is a thread to watch for them. You can’t just order them off their website. I mean I’m sure if you offered Nathan like $10k for a single knife you want I am sure he would make it for you…. Lol

You can however order CPE knives from Paul. But I am sure with the quality of work he puts out he will be backed up soon enough.
I second this, Paul Rasp is absolutely awesome to work with!

Thanks!

I have not yet had a chance to "play" with 'em.

I'm currently dealing with a 9yo puppy-dog (*the LOVE of my life) who needs three separate surgeries. She goes in for the first two operations on Monday, 4 March. After that, they won't cut on her for about a month or two. (*to let her little "fat body" heal)

I'm hoping that, around the middle of next month, I'll get a chance to "test" and beat on them, out in "the wild".

Believe it or not, the "G.I." ASEK is a pretty robust little knife for what it is... (*a small, over-molded, "hidden tang" knife)

I hope the operation goes perfect. 🙏

Here are several just back from HT. The top 3 are all in S90V, bottom is AEBL. 1 pronghorn drop point and 3 new pattern, bird and trout-ish EDC's. Anyone interested, I haven't matched handle scales to them yet, so you will have the option to pick what scales you would like.

No its steer shin bone. I do use a lot of camel bone but tend to use it in white. I've used some dyed camel bone in the past but it doesn't seem to take the color as well. At least what I;ve used from several different suppliers. Ya start out with a nice deep color but by the time ya get all done working it, ya've lost most of it and ya end up with a pastel type coloring. Didn't seem worth it. Sometimes it happens with the cattle bone too. But I find that more attractive as the cattle seems to work into a lighter color in areas. To my eye better looking than the pastel thing. This Paisano lighten up where worked but I find this more attractive than what the camel bone does.

I've worked enough of both different types of bone that I can tell em apart when working them. They have a different feel when working.
Here is the Childress, yellow camel bone in 440C.D8126A12-03EE-4BA7-B8D2-00ACE8DEEB9F.jpegBDDD8E66-18A7-4F4A-B629-E80167F10780.jpeg

Great looking knife! I love the blade, handle, and the filework. I know some makers prefer to not epoxy the file gaps, but I prefer it with epoxy to prevent dirt/blood/debris collecting. Enjoy that knife and thanks for sharing photos.

Thanks! I bought this off the knife maker exchange here on BF 10+ years ago. Maker is Shane Paul Atwood. His work gets better and better.
