I totally agree! That large chopper just screams ‘swing me’

. So nice to be able to swing forcefully when tired or simply cut with cold hands and not ‘have to’ grip like a vise.
A beautiful bad-ass blade with a poor handle design is such a waste. My favorite makers seem to put as much thought into handle design as they do the blade.
I'm a contrarian at heart..... I don't even know What a blade is? Haha.
all I think about are Handles.
Bad handles are what got me into knife making!
Here is my thought process.
1. What purpose is the new knife for?
2. Ss. Or doesn't matter?
3. What size/thickness about?
* Edge geometry?
*Hand size, possible persons height?
*Handle shape
*Safety, how guarded does it need to be?
* Materials/handle?
*Fasteners, am I making them? Lanyards/Where?
*Sheath carry?
*maybe Now I think more about blade tip design? What Step is this ? Haha
I guess it's easier for me to do blade design....
(I don't do thumb ramps, sharpening choils, large riccaso's, clip points, jimping, and I don't like doing finger choils, harpoon tips, or any other gimmicks that I can't think of now.
So blade design Is pretty simple and straight forward.
It's All about, where do I put the tip.....
