Fixed blades

Reprofiled handles and new pants on a couple puukkos, or hiking pals. VERY comfortable in the hand! Orange thread to compliment the orange G10 lanyard tubes.

This just in. Read the card that was in the Buck's box...

This Boker is pretty stout! I have not explored the hidden compartment inside the scales, but plan to put a fire starter, hook, and line in there.

The Boker acquisition was more out of curiosity and boredom. It’s not much different from my Knafs Lulu except for the storage inside the scales.

Wow! Best looking Buck fixed blade I've seen. I wonder why they made 63. Do you know? Seems to me like they should've made 48 (for 48 years of service), right?

I didn't even think about that, but I suspect they used all the blanks in that size, maybe expected to have extras just in case, but then decided to sell them all? My other knife from the Danny Collection was 1 of 88 Damasteel Vantage with blue paper micarta scales so go figure.

After 2.5 years of South Texas drought, I've spent the last week absolutely beating on some of my "Big Name"/expensive/"Fanboy" fixies, on some of our damn-near petrified South Texas wood.

You know what? I think I'll just stick with my trusty well-used/well-beaten/"3-IN-ONE"-soaked 107, as my "End of the World"/"SHTF"/"Zombie Apocalypse" knife.

YMMV...
