Fixed blades

These are what I have. So far... One for smashing wood to bits, one for whittling apart deer, sheep, fish, assorted other critters ... and one because it's dinky and EDC-able (which I usually don't, mostly because I find my folders more practical and entertaining). From top to bottom: Kershaw Camp 10; CRKT Pangolin; Buck 105 Pathfinder (tip'o the hat to ADBrown / Allan.)

The number of fixed blades I have has fluctuated greatly over the years, it has slimmed down considerably. This is some of them currently. These have seen everything from killing hogs/deer to processing wood and food and everything in between. I went on a fixed blade edc kick for a long while.

How's your fixed blade knife stable looking?

As someone who enjoys knives (folders until about 2 months ago) - I’ve been bitten by fixed blades. I’ve not 1% of the experience most on this thread have, and would really benefit (if no too much trouble) to have the knives identified. I’m sure there may be others who would be helped as well. Seeing something that I like but have no idea where to look for it is frustrating. Hope I’m not asking for too much!🥴

The fourth from the left looks like a Carothers DEK1. The second from the left looks like a Carothers EDC, but I'm not sure if it's the EDC1, 2, or 3.

Hopefully this will give you a reference point. If I get time I’ll get pictures of some of my others and post them as well.

I sincerely appreciate your detailed descriptions- it helps someone like me tremendously. I didn’t mean to create work (just a request I thought would be helpful). But a big thanks to those who’ve included some details! There’s a great deal of knowledge in this forum that—at my age — I’d never get otherwise! 😆
