Really loving this one. Spur-of-the-moment virtual Blade Texas pickup from Alex Harrison of Night Watch Knives. Acid 'War Wash' etch AEB-L, black linen micarta and blue liners. This is his "La Chingona" model. Might be the best pocket fixed blade I've had.

Can't tell if there's a mark. Is that the Cold Steel Bowie, or a W-49? Nice blue job, regardless!

J justjed It's a W-49 with markings on the front of the guard.

A friend who was a SEAL carried a W-49 and a 22oz Tru-Temper hand ax in Viet Nam. I've always liked the knife, just never got one. Kind of a shame when they went to stainless steel for the blade. I'd like to find a nice carbon steel W-49. There's a gun show this weekend, so maybe....
