Fixed blades

A head to head review of these.

So far I’ve gotten initial handling impressions from my whole family, used all 3 in the kitchen, and done some cursory whittling.

My son and I plan on putting them through their paces this weekend.
Ahh! Got it. I see why you would want to include it and also see why you didn’t.

Sort of kind of maybe related:
I just got a MUK (Michigan Utility Knife) designed by bikerector bikerector for his Good Knife Company and made by David Mary David Mary

I always liked the sweep of the Nessmuk but not the hump. This knife has the sweep but not the hump!
It is kind of ridiculous how good this knife is.
Super slicey, i’m in love. I’ll post pics tomorrow.

I need to find my Idaho Knife works Nessmuk in walnut, the wood is from MikeMann’s family farm. It has a good belly, but I think his design put a good useful point on it much like the bottom one in the picture.

I don't currently have any Muk's even though I like the looks.... My closest is a design I call C4.
It's hump might not be pronounced enough?

This is one of my first few knives I made, and didn't have all my steps figured out yet. It still has grinds going perpendicular to the scales. I don't do that anymore.....I wonder if I should leave it, or give it a spa treatment, idk?

From an early batch of 3V I had treated at Bos.
This also has what's called leopard wood. Very splintery working with (after sanding it's great). I didn't like it (at first), but once done, it has been Very durable and stable. I don't think it's moved all this time. Heavy duty wood.

Very handy, and sturdy blade.
I'll definitely make more.

I'm biting my tongue to refrain from asking about the "kitchen" stuff because I know that you're working on putting together a full review.

But damn(!), I'm curious. 😄

Waiting. Patiently. :)
