Fixed blades

You make some beautiful knives. This one pictured might be my favorite of any I’ve seen.
Thank you! That is a Rodeo with elk for a handle.

I've used sheephorn before as a handle on a Rodeo:

Heck even dyed and stabilized box elder with a rosewood spacer:

But elk horn is a natural for this model. Here's a different one:

I was introduced to Warren Goltz knives years ago by Bill Middleman, Bill's Cases. I've owned a few, this is the only one I have now. I had posted it on FB and Loyd McConnell (knifemaker) gave me some background on it. Warren's attention to detail is what he was known for, only made a few knives each year.

From Loyd:
Dan delavan’s show- about 86,87. Warren and I decided to challenge each other to make a “Rambo” style fighter complete with a saw on the spine. Coincidentally, each of us came up without talking to each other, a set of saw teeth that were the same by using a triangle file. The teeth were very aggressive! He worked in his basement mostly with files. I remember at one point he told me he was manic depressive. He just quit making knives because he spent too much time on them.
