Sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to ask, a knife maker with the proper membership seems to be able to post pics of their own knives in this thread without getting in trouble, is that correct? Asking for future reference!

Anyone can post a picture of any knife, you dont need s proper membership for that.

Membership is required to sell knives.

I like membership should be for Soliciting knives..... Showing off for notice, for name recognition, and for future potential sales, looks bad..... Imo. Without proper membership

But My name isn't on the wall.

Just asking because on bcusa even if you pay almost $20 a month for a hobbyist membership they'll put you in the gulag if you so much as post a picture of a knife you made outside of the classifieds or your own hobbyist thread

You make damn good knives - you should definitely start posting pics of them here. As a few members mentioned, The only problem would be selling them without the proper knife maker / craftsman / service provider membership.

You make some good stuff.. looking forward to pics 👍👍

Interesting, I've posted maybe 3-6 knife pics over There, but few even know that I like to make knives...... Idk they were fussy about that.
I definitely don't try to sell them....heck, I don't even publicly sell them here. Haha

I'm waiting until I get my new designs going and then I'll purchase a seller membership, then I'll do some proper posting!! For now I'm just trying to contribute to discussions and become part of the community, and I definitely don't want to skirt the line in regards to the rules and piss everyone off before I've even sold anything. Not really how I want to do things, yknow?

They're pretty anal about it, toward some more than others. I've never been confronted about it because I tend to stick to my own thread anyway.

I get the whole "no self promotion" thing but the way they word the rule leaves it "open to interpretation" to put it nicely. If I'm giving them $17 a month I don't much see why it matters...
