Fixed blades

Thanks to a trade with Monofletch Monofletch I was able to get this nice small fixed blade made by Joseph Bandeko Joseph Bandeko the blade is forged and ground quite thin and from testing it against my diamond stones it is CruForgeV quite hard at around 61rc. The knife is just under 7" long overall with a 3 1/2" blade that ends with a tapered tang. I added my bobtail fob to the handle and the sheath, also made by him, I glued in a thin layer of soft leather that compresses around the handle and helps to retain the knife a bit better, now it is quite snug with no worries that it could fall out and with that sharp of a blade, you do NOT want that to fall out ;)

Thin layer of soft leather glued in the opening of the sheath, it's about an inch and a half long going into the sheath

I used my diamond stones to set the sharpening notch at a slight angle so that material doesn't catch, my preference would be for no notch at all but I like that it's close to the handle so you have a lot of cutting edge.

Very nice work, I would recommend getting one when you can!

A large group, all one order. These are gifts for the customer's grandkids. He supplied the bone for the handles from an antelope he shot:

As the bones were hollow it took quite a bit of filling with white epoxy to get them usable. If I'd of cut the scales flat there wouldn't have been enough width in the scale to cover most of the tangs.

Beautiful work.
The bone coming from an animal he harvested should make the knives more special to his grandkids.
