This knife looks like a great all-a-rounder. I think the clip swedge option looks good and makes the tip more useful for starting certain cuts. The thing I don’t get is what is the reason and/or utility for adding the cost of a Gun-Kote finish on 3V? In my experience, 3V is not particularly prone to rust. I would appreciate hearing your thought process on this.

Thank you very much! And agree with you, that is the reason for adding the optional swedge. Certain cuts and cleaning fish and game, a swedge makes it easier to get things going.

As for the GunKote, the standard finish will be tumbled. I agree with you, 3V does not need a coating to survive. The way I handle this on my website with the other knives is I offer a Custom Shop option. That is where you can add the swedge, add GunKote, etc.

The base model will be sold with tumbled finish and no sheath, so the cost of entry is as low as possible for everyone, or if they already have a favorite sheath maker.
