I would suggest that you Call Bud Nealy. If you are looking for a medium size knife, in the 5" range.He can put neopreme handle scales on any of his models. I carried a 5" tanto in Damascus for several years so made. A lot of the other styles are very good they just have a more bulky grip shape. I would stay away from all metal knives that do not have a good guard shape. Not knowing your knowledge or style of self defense technique I cannot give a more exact answer. There are NO good factory sheath systems out there. They all suffer from the "save a penny syndrome" that all knife companies have. The Stiff Kiss is a good example. The knife is very low profile and the sheath is a good design for the money.It is over three times more bulky than the knife it is used to carry. The Stiff Kiss design is taken from a custom knife that was originally designed with sheath to fit in the tag loop of a dress tie. Just a couple of my observations.
