Fixed & Folded ~ traditionals

I used my #23 to help refurbish an old Marbles I picked up on the exchange. The #23 is a bit chunky for pocket carry with the Woodcraft, but it sure came in handy.

Handles made from the same cherry stump:

I came in to work one morning and was thrilled to find the blackened stump, with dirt falling off it and live insects crawling out of it, deposited next to my desk. I immediately knew who had brought it - our coworkers must have thought it was crazy that he was so proud of his gift and I was so happy to get it.

The Mora is much lighter than the Okapi because I just re-sanded it after reshaping the sheath a little.

Will Power Will Power the handle in your Bark River is stunning, coupled with a very nice blade shape it should do a terrific job as a skinner and butchering knife for big game. OH

Old Hunter Old Hunter thanks very much! I'm certain it would. It does look good but it's a bit wasted on me as a non hunter, but I still fish a little  I also have one with Micarta handles and green spacers, oddly enough, the stock is thicker than the wood one but it could be because the Amboyna is first production run. they feel great in hand must say.

It's not the prettiest but it sure works better than the loose, dried out original handle. I had the dickens of a time trying to get all of the original plastic spacers to fit properly near the ends so I tossed them. The brass spacers fit well enough but were so small in diameter that I would have had to keep whittling down the leather washers to make them fully visible but I didn't want to thin the handle any more. It fits my hand perfectly and you can see a few spots of brass poking out so I'm satisfied. I would probably use natural leather and not the darkened belt leather if I had to do it again. I think it pairs well with an 8OT.
